What is a company?
Unlike a sole trader or partnership, a company has a more complex business structure and is a separate legal entity. The officers and directors must comply with legal obligations under the Corporations Act 2001.
People's Choice provides business accounts for companies. To open a business account for your company, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Setting up your business membership
Do all directors have a personal membership with People's Choice?
Yes - Great! Proceed to the next steps below.
No - Not a problem!
• If a sole director, you need to be a personal member for a minimum of 12 months to apply for the company membership
• If your company operates with multiple directors, ensure at least one director has been a personal member for a minimum of 12 months prior to opening the company membership. The other directors, together with the secretary, can then verify their ID in a branch.
Step 2. Get a head start with your business account
Download and fill in the business membership application forms below. You can get a head start setting up your business account when you provide these documents when you get in touch with us in the next step.
